Real Mountain Ranch,
Real Wildlife, Real Colorado.

Real possibility.

Set in an environment of magnificent vistas, mountain-fed streams, multi-purpose trails, and vast mountain meadows, Maytag life beckons. Through our shared border with the San Isabel National Forest, millions of acres of possibilities abound. Maytag Ranch is located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in southern Colorado; less than 90 min from Colorado Springs, 2 ½ hours from Denver and a short drive to the charming towns of Westcliffe, Salida and Canon City. Our Homesteads are in perfect harmony with the land, with building sites chosen specifically to maximize views while minimizing visibility from the rest of the world.

You are now enjoying the Mountain life of yesteryear you can find it here, on an honest-to-goodness Colorado cattle ranch. Maytag Ranch has a lifestyle that is short on pretense, but long on what’s important, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the peace and tranquility of picturesque mountain setting or unleash the rugged rancher or seasoned outdoorsman you have denied for far too long.

Every day at Maytag we’re in awe of the setting – The ranch is surrounded by two mountain ranges with incredible sunrises and a unique sunset every night.  Maytag makes it possible for us to have something that isn’t practical on our own - a working ranch with cattle and fields to tend, fences to fix and horses to ride.  Of course, there are also fish to catch, targets to shoot, trails to hike and bike, porches to relax on and books to read!  We’re as active as we want to be each day and it’s been a great pleasure to share our mountain paradise with family and friends when they visit.  The fantastic on-site staff keeps everything in great shape and gives us real peace of mind when we’re away from the ranch.

Along with the year around beauty of the setting, the Maytag is an environment where we can truly relax.  We can’t wait to arrive, are sad to leave, and start anticipating our next visit right away.

Maytag Ranch is the “real deal” — the quality of the development and on-going care are un-matched. Our decision to purchase property at Maytag was reached after analyzing how well it met our wants and needs. With the endless amount of activities on and near the ranch, we will never run out of things to do while building lasting memories for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren. Our investment at Maytag offers a lot at a great value with this top-notch, absolutely gorgeous shared ranch, yet the responsibilities of managing a ranch do not rest on our shoulders. The staff and our fellow owners feel like lifelong friends and family. Maytag is “home” to us!

We did our research around the West.  [Maytag] was the only one that was actually a true ranch - complete with not only tons of recreation but where owners actually help with the ranching.  It is better than everything else we found, and the value is off the charts.  Our kids learned a new kind of independence here.  It has been great for our family.  It has been great for us. It has only gotten better!

Each time we come out here, we find so much more to do.  It is a make your own kind of fun and freedom.  You are never going to be bored if you don’t want to be bored.  There is fishing, shooting, archery and other outdoors stuff, but also horseback scavenger hunts, driving cars and rangers and tractors.  Even welding!  The skills you bring home are so cool!  The friends we have brought to Maytag have always said this was one of their best weeks ever.
