Maytag Mountain Ranch raises grass fed cattle: the happiest and healthiest in the West.

Our cattle are born and raised on Maytag Mountain Ranch’s 2,953 acres of lush and green natural grasses, and the cattle enjoy warm days and cool nights. An intensive rotational grazing system ensures our cattle have plenty of fresh grass to eat; our pastures are never artificially fertilized and our cattle drink the spring water that flows on the Ranch. We never use hormones or antibiotics, and the entire Ranch is certified Organic. Our cattle are not taken to the feedlot to be “finished.” Instead they fatten on natural grass, every day of their lives — the way nature intended.

Our system is better for the cattle… The majority of cattle Americans eat are fattened on grains, principally corn, instead of the grass nature intended them to eat. They are fed hormones and antibiotics. All of these practices are negative for the cattle and negative for the humans who consume the beef. This has been well documented.

Our system is better for your health… Maytag Mountain Ranch’s famous grass fed beef has higher levels of Omega 3 fatty acids, which lower the risk of heart disease, and which may reduce the risk of cancer. It is also lower in total fat than beef from conventionally raised (corn finished) cattle, resulting in fewer calories. Best of all, it tastes great!

TESTIMONIALS…

“The steaks were glorious. It was also a relief not to worry about mad cow because we knew that these beauties had been fed on your healthy grass. The taste had a freshness and beefiness we seldom have encountered and was better than the dry aged Colorado Prime we sometimes buy.”
— N.B., California

“We love the beef! Our family has been enjoying it! Put us on the list for next year!” — J.L., Colorado

“My family loves the grass finished beef we purchased recently. The taste is absolutely wonderful and seems to get better with each order I’ve gotten. I gave some steaks to my neighbor and now they want to order Maytag Beef too!”
— D.M., Colorado

“I’ve raised my own beef for years but got out of it three years ago when we moved off our ranch. The Maytag beef is some of the best tasting beef I’ve ever eaten and very tender!” — J.B., Colorado

“The Maytag beef is so tender. We love it and so do our kids. We like having the assortment of cuts and hamburger, as well as the steaks. It makes it easy to have a varied menu. Having the beef on hand is nice, it cuts down on our trips to the supermarket!”
